1. Purpose of Rewatchers

Rewatchers sends a weekly email featuring one video from the YouTube playlists you choose to connect. The goal is simple: help you revisit the content you've saved and actually follow through on it. To do this, certain information from your Rewatchers account and, if you choose to connect it, your YouTube account is needed.

2. Information You Provide

When creating an account, Rewatchers stores your email address along with any preferences you set in the dashboard. This information is used to operate the product, deliver your weekly email, and contact you about account matters or important updates. It isn't sold or shared for advertising.

3. Information From YouTube

Connecting your YouTube account is optional. If you choose to connect it, Rewatchers uses the YouTube Data API with a single permission:

Scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly. This permission allows viewing certain information in your YouTube account without changing anything.

Through this connection, the channel ID, playlists and their titles, and videos within those playlists (including titles, thumbnails, and descriptions when needed) may be accessed. This information is used only to display playlists in the dashboard, let you choose which playlists Rewatchers should draw from, and pick one video per week to include in your email.

Rewatchers does not receive or use your watch history, search history, comments, subscriptions, private messages, or any sensitive YouTube data outside of playlists and playlist items. The connection does not allow uploading, editing, deleting, or interacting with your YouTube content.

Use of YouTube data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy (including Limited Use requirements). Access can be revoked at any time in both your Rewatchers dashboard and your Google Account settings under Security → Third-party access.

Use of YouTube and Google services is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service, the Google Privacy Policy and the Google API Services User Data Policy.

4. Automatically Collected Information

Some technical information is collected automatically, such as device and browser details, IP address, basic logs used to diagnose issues, and email delivery information, including whether a weekly email was delivered successfully. This is standard for most online services and helps keep Rewatchers reliable and secure.

5. How Information Is Used

Information collected through the product or through the YouTube connection is used to operate Rewatchers, generate and deliver the weekly summary email, and maintain the stability and security of the service. Information from YouTube is used solely to identify eligible videos and display playlists.

Information isn't used for advertising, and isn't sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing.

6. When Information Is Shared

Rewatchers runs using a small number of service providers that handle hosting, databases, email delivery, and error monitoring. These providers only process data as needed to support the product and don't have permission to use it for their own purposes.

Information may also be shared if required for legal reasons or to respond to security concerns.

7. Data Retention

Account information is kept as long as the account is active. If the YouTube connection is removed, stored access tokens are deleted and new data stops being pulled immediately.

If an account deletion is requested, associated data is deleted or anonymized unless there is a valid reason to retain certain information, for example for security or legal obligations.

8. Your Choices

You can disconnect YouTube from the Rewatchers dashboard at any time, revoke access in Google Account settings, adjust email delivery settings in the dashboard, or request account deletion by emailing support@rewatchersapp.com.

9. Security

Rewatchers uses encrypted connections, secure API handling practices, and restricted access to production systems. No online service is completely immune to security risks, but protecting user information is treated as a priority.

10. Children's Privacy

Rewatchers is intended for adults and isn't designed for children under 13. If a child's information is believed to be collected, it will be removed upon request.

11. International Use

Rewatchers may process or store data in the United States or other regions. Using the service means consenting to this transfer and processing, even if data protection laws differ from those in your country.

12. Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of Rewatchers after updates means accepting the revised policy.
